Full of Heart: Booker Cares February Initiatives

Here at Booker, we understand the importance of giving back to the community, taking time from our hectic schedules to say thank you, and ensuring that those around us (both in the office and in our surrounding communities) get the support they need. Each quarter, we get behind a cause and work to raise awareness of it.

We’re excited to launch our February initiatives in a few days, during which time we’ll be focusing on raising awareness of and funds for the American Heart Association. One woman dies every minute from heart disease, which claims 500,000 women each year—just in the United States, and Booker Cares did not think twice about getting behind this cause and working together to promote heart disease awareness. We hope to raise awareness of heart disease both within our own Booker community as well as amongst our friends, family and clients.

To kick off this drive, on Friday, February 1st, the Booker NYC and California offices will be participating in National Wear Red Day. The team will be decked out in red, so be sure to check out our Facebook page for pictures! You can also help support our initiatives by heading over to our fundraising page and making a donation. We’d love to hear if you’ll be participating in National Wear Red Day, so be sure to share with us any of the efforts you’ll be making to raise awareness of heart disease.

Following Wear Red Day, Cupid will be shooting his arrow in the Booker offices, and we’ll be selling inter-office Valentines to raise money for donations to the American Heart Association. Let us know if you have a special Booker team member you’d like to send a Valentine to! You can purchase a Valentine by simply heading to our fundraising page, making a donation, and emailing us to let us know who you’d like to send a Valentine to! Cupid will be joining us at Booker on Thursday, February 14th, so you’ve got some time to show your support.

Help Booker Cares raise awareness of an important cause and get involved in our National Heart Month initiatives! We’ll be sharing updates on our Facebook and Twitter pages throughout the month, so be sure to check back!
